Hi everyone,
This week we take a look at a very important topic, what will I believe in when things go wrong? Who will I turn to during difficult times?
The psalmist says that he will not trust in chariots (which were as good as tanks during those days) but that he will trust in God!
Who / what do you trust in? The only One who will always be with us is God. Money vanishes, friends may leave us, our influence may dwindle, but God’s love for us will never deminish!
Consider Job, he lost everything (except his moaning wife), he lost his children, his livestock, his health - where do you turn then? Always turn to God as He is our ROCK, SHIELD, STRONG TOWER, etc., read the whole of Psalm 18 for more.

I have been very silent this new year so far.
Today we have a closer look at some of the people in the Bible who faced difficult times, but who God carried through. People like Noah, Joseph and Moses.
Also, I share with you a great idea for an activity for your cell or small group.

This is a sometimes controversial matter, but it need not be. If we follow what the Bible says, we see that the Hebrew word for baptism is: Baptizo, which means to immerse fully. While Rhantizo, the Hebrew word for sprinkle, is used mostly when reffering to getting things ready for the Tabernacle and never refers to baptism.
Today we look at 11 reasons from the Bible as to why we need to be baptized. I highly recommend that you listen to all 11reasons, and if you do not agree with me on this then I would like to invite you to show me in the Bible that I am mistaken at my point of view.
Jesus Himself was baptized, setting the example for us, showing us the way. There are a lot of people and churches (in my area) who do not believe in baptism, which to me is very sad.

If we cannot get our identity from the job that we do, where do we get our identity from?
FROM WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT US!
We are children of God, loved by God, God’s workmanship & to find out what else you will have to listen to today’s podcast episode!

This past weekend my brother & I had food poisoning, I have some ocassional heartburn but otherwise I am over it.
This time we are going to look at being retrenched. You loose your job, now what? We need to trust God! The economy is bad, but God is just as rich today as He was when the universe was created. He can still meet all our needs, we still need to trust Him!
I was retrenched and worked my last day yesterday, retrechment is difficult. Especially when you have committments and because it costs money to live. But we need to focus on God, not on our problems, God will open a window when a door closes, He will not abandon us!

I’m posting twice today to make up for a long absence.
I would like to encourage you to print out this PDF, fold it and keep in it your Bible for at least the next 2 weeks. Every day read the verse that goes with it and if possible, read the rest of the chapter around the verse as well.
I cannot overestimate the importance of prayer and spening time with God.
Hi everyone!
Today we discuss living in the Spirit as opposed to living a selfish (fleshly) live.
The fruit of the flesh is:
Gal 5:19 What human nature does is quite plain. It shows itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions; 20 in worship of idols and witchcraft. People become enemies and they fight; they become jealous, angry, and ambitious. They separate into parties and groups; 21 they are envious, get drunk, have orgies, and do other things like these
The fruit of the Spirit is:
Gal 5:22 But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.
Living a selfish life will destroy you, but living in the Spirit is what God has planned for us.

This week at youth we discussed the topic of forgiveness.
It’s such an important part of our walk with God as we really need to be forgiven and to forgive others as well!
God is merciful and we need to have mercy on those around us as well. Peter tried to impress Jesus asking Him if we are to forgive someone 7 times if he sins against us, Jesus answered him, “forgive him 70 x 7 times”.
Through God’s grace we are able to forgive others and cleanse our hearts.
